If you’re not familiar with horse ball - it’s been described as a cross between rugby and netball on horseback, and is a growing sport in the UK. The game improves balance and confidence between the horse and the rider as it involves sudden spurts, rapid stops, half turns and acceleration.
Why not try horseball!
Some of the best players are ex-Pony Club games players.

The rules of the game are designed to make it as safe as possible for both the horse and rider, and are strictly enforced by the referees.
A pick-up strap is used to tie the stirrups together under the horse to enable the player to pick up the ball.
The sport has an excellent safety record both, in the UK and abroad.
