The ball is a junior size football in a harness which has six leather handles. You can pick up the ball, if you are taught the correct way to do it. It’s much easier than it looks!
With dressage as the main form of training, horseball is a great compliment to your other equestrian activities. Anyone with access to a horse can play. There are horses and riders of all ages, sizes, and abilities.
Severnvale has two teams competing:
- Cadet - 13 years and under
- Junior - 14 to 16 years of age
With SVEC to help you, there is no excuse for not having a go! Almost any horse that is reasonably fit can play - and they will probably enjoy it as much as you!
