British Eventing - Pre-season Event Course

British Eventing LogoA three-day course designed to give both experienced competitors and young horses a positive and helpful start to the year. The aim of the course is to improve confidence, trust, technique and co-ordination - the vital ingredient for a successful partnership to progress in the demanding sport of “Eventing”.

The course includes dressage training, gymnastic jumping, related distances, dealing with a showjumping course and cross country techniques (indoors). It also includes cross country schooling and how to walk a cross country course and avoid the pitfall’s! In addition, there will be theoretical discussions on fittening, feeding, tack and equipment, details about British Eventing and how to begin affiliated eventing.

The course will be taken by Lizzel and Eric Winter, both of whom are extremely experienced instructors and international competitors themselves.

They have both participated at the very highest level of competitions throughout the world; and competed in CCI****’s (Badminton and Burghley). They have also represented their country in the sport on several occasions. Additionally, both Lizzel and Eric are accredited trainers for British Eventing and Lizzel spent five years as the National Coach to the British Junior Equestrian team and is now the Under 18 and Under 21 Three-Day Event Team coach for Portugal.  Lizzel & Eric are also Education and Training Managers for British Eventing.

This is a British Eventing Course, so must be booked through the BE website (click on this link to go to the courses section) where full details will be found. Persons who are not members of BE can register (free), and then purchase the course through the web site.

Limited stabling is available on a first come first served basis at £20 per night (bookable directly with Severnvale)
